Introducing our foodbank project

Stafford foodbank started as a small project founded by local residents and volunteers from the Stafford community. These volunteer organisers, worked together from 2018 for a few years independently on a start up project called “Stafford and surrounds community food support”. This project fed 100s of people locally but fed 1000s when the dreaded COVID arrived.  The foodbank team decided they needed to develop further and the best partners to do that with are the “Trussel Trust”. A few reasons for this, but the main one was to ensure OUR foodbank is part of the bigger fight, in the campaign to end hunger, too ensure statistics are recorded and our voice reaches the powers that can effect change.

We want the “need” for foodbanks to end and until that happens we are committed to supporting those struggling with food insecurities but also to raise awareness around the issues and campaign until foodbanks stop.

Since 2021 we have been based in the Staffordshire Community Hub, and became the “Stafford Foodbank”. We are based in a good position within the local area, to meet, greet and build relationships with those struggling in our community. We offer a complete confidential and honest service, our staff are kind and empathetic. Please dont suffer in silence, we are here to offer support.
